Poloaroid “hold On” Campaign

Nothing in the world of social media and the internet feels very real or tangible anymore which makes moments of the past lose their nostalgic warmness. Polaroid was the first instant picture sharing method that allowed you to share and physically hold onto your nostalgic memeories for the future, something that is lost in today’s social media. the “Hold On” campaign was born and directed towards adults in their 20s and 30s to try to get them to remember to hold on to and physically show off their nostalgic moments from the early 2000 and 2010 eras.

Posters placed around cities in high traffic areas showing people physically holding a picture, along with a touch of social, will show the modernity of the brand as well as the nostalgic and warm feelings holding a Polaroid brings.

statue-esque billboards around cities and beautiful areas of the country show a hand holding a polaroid however the picture part will be transparent and frame a city, something beautiful, or people if they choose to stand in front of it. These can be bolted into the ground almost anywhere and will encourage people to take pictures in front of them while also serving as an ad for Polaroid.

Showing these short form videos on platforms like TikTok and Instagram will allow our tech conscious target to see the ads and cause them to think about memories from the past and consider buying a Polaroid camera to preserve future memories.

Possible captions:

“Some memories fade, but the ones you can hold onto last forever #holdon #polaroid”

“Memories you can feel, moments you can keep #holdon #polaroid”

“Before the scroll, Polaroids were how we shared memories. Now in a fast-paced world, they’re how we hold onto them #holdon #polaroid”

“When life moves fast, Polaroids let you pause and hold onto what matters most #holdon #polaroid”

Polaroid will put and secure bulletin boards in major cities and highly populated areas where people will have the opportunity to put their own Polaroids sharing their precious memories. Before posting it on the physical bulletin board, they will be asked to scan a nearby QR code where they will be directed to an online form where they will enter their email and take a picture of their polaroid. When photos are on the physical bulletin, there will be markers for people to leave comments on photos they like. Once a week, the ~3 Polaroids with the most “comments” will be posted on an Instagram poll on the Polaroid account for people to vote on the one they like the most. The Polaroid with the most votes on Instagram will be contacted and receive a free 6 pack of color film.
